At the northern tip of New Zealand's South Island lies the Marlborough district.  Within that, the Onamalutu River Valley winds across a broad plain of well-sorted gravel deposits dating to the late Pleistocene Era.  These super well drained soils provide an ideal location for Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, and form the basis for Gravel & Loam Wines.
